The Kurukathy Sweet Seedai is a traditional Vella Seedai (jaggery rice ball) prepared specifically for the Tamil festivals of Karthigai Deepam and Aadi 18 by a traditional family in Kurukkathi, Tamil Nadu. Made from rice flour, country jaggery, aromatic cardamom, and sesame seeds, these small fried spheres carry a distinctly festive flavour profile — slightly crispy outside, softly sweet within. A taste of Tamil cultural tradition, hand-made in small batches from a family recipe.
